The Amazing Spider-Man #304 (1988)

“California Schemin’!” Rating: 5/5 Writer: David Michelinie Artist: Todd McFarlane J. Jonah Jameson publishes a book full of Peter’s Spider-Man photos and then sends Peter on a book tour. The first stop is California. While there, he sees Black Fox and discovers him trying to steal a priceless chalice. Spider-Man fails to stop him and loses him, but the Prowler finds to Black Fox and says he wants the chalice.

Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #048 (1980)

“Double Defeat!” Rating: 4/5 Writer: Roger Stern Artist: Marie Severin Spider-Man escapes the gas room, but another trap explodes and causes a fire. Spider-Man escapes with Prowler. Prowler goes to the hospital with burns and half his hair missing. It’s pretty awesome looking. Spider-Man figures out who Belladonna is and sets a trap for her.

Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #047 (1980)

“A Night on the Prowl!” Rating: 3/5 Writer: Roger Stern Artist: Marie Severin Somebody steals the Prowler’s costume and tools and causes some trouble around the city. Belladonna is behind it. She hired the guy. She sets up a trap for Spider-Man and gases him and The Prowler in a sealed chamber.

The Amazing Spider-Man #093 (1971)

“The Lady and — The Prowler!” Rating: 5/5 Writer: Stan Lee Artist: John Romita After reading about Spider-Man supposedly killing George Stacy, The Prowler thinks that Spider-Man somehow set him up by making him dress up as Spider-Man and visit a party where George Stacy was (issue 87). Spider-Man defeats him and takes him to the hospital. Gwen leaves on a plane for London.

The Amazing Spider-Man #087 (1970)

“Unmasked at Last!” Rating: 4/5 Writer: Stan Lee Artist: John Romita Peter Parker reveals to his friends that he is Spider-Man. None of them believe him, as they think that he is ill, which he is. After he recovers Peter gets The Prowler to impersonate Spider-Man so that his friends can be completely convinced that he is not Spider-Man.
