The Avant Guard leaves and Spidey breaks out of his ice cube prison. The Human Torch stops by and they head for the Avant Guard headquarters via spider tracer. After a fight, Human Torch and Spidey beat Spark and Bora. Painter restores them but decides it’s too repetitive for his genius and traps them in a painting. Painter then proceeds to disgustingly explode into thousands of cockroaches. Human Torch gives the painting of the trapped Spark and Bora to Mr. Fantastic. The snow in the city melts.

Rating: 4/5

Writer: Tony Isabella

Peter and Kristy visit a piece of performance art by a guy called Spark. Afterward, Spark goes back stage and meets with his partner Bora and his mentor The Painter (who has cockroaches crawling all over him). The Painter can create anything in reality with a swipe of his paint brush. Bora and Spark have given their souls to him to be part of the Avant Guard. Painter makes Spark into a giant electrified brute and Peter fights him as Spider-Man. Eventually the Painter calls Spark back and they plan on sending New York into a new ice age as an artistic statement. Peter and Kristy run into an artist named Peter Nicholas (aka Colossus) and hang out with him.
