Some guy dies, and then all the suspects end up in the same room with the detective in charge of the investigation. The lights go out, and somebody kills the butler just before he reveals who the killer is. Nova and Spider-Man try to catch the fleeing killer/suspects and find them at a lighthouse. The villain called Photon shows up and disables them then straps them to an anchor and drops it/them into the ocean. Nova and Spider-Man escape and then go back to the scene of the crime where some invention is that Photon wants to steal. They defeat Photon and unmask him. He was one of their suspects.
