Spider-Man joins a game of football between some kids and some older bullies. An alien called A’Sai has an old weapon of Galactus and sneaks up on The Watcher and subdues him. He wants all of the Watcher’s weapons, but they have safeguards against being in the wrong hands. So Watcher and A’Sai wager the fate of the universe on the game of football that Spider-Man is playing. The score is fifty-six to zero when the wager starts, but Spider-Man’s team manages to pull ahead. Then Watcher gets the powerful weapon A’Sai had and he banishes him into a Joker card in a Las Vegas casino.

Spider-Man goes on a crime fighting rampage to try to get as many pictures as possible to sell to the Daily Bugle. In one of his fights, he defeats Electro. As Peter and Mary Jane prepare for their wedding (that’s happening in a few days), they both have their doubts and fears and get some cold feet before realizing they really do love each other and absolutely want to get married. Then they do.

Will o’ the Wisp a villain called Killer Shrike and makes him kidnap Marla Madison and take her to the Special Powers Lab of some factory. There, Will o’ the Wisp (through Killer Shrike) tells Marla who he is and asks for help. She uses the equipment there to help him pull his molecules together into the form of a man again. And then Will o’ the Wisp tells Spider-Man that this lab is where he was made and he must destroy it. And so he goes into the circuitry via his glowing ball form and blows up the place. Spider-Man gets everybody out of the building.

A terrorist called the Jack O’Lantern is taken to the hospital. While in the hospital, he wakes up and takes everybody hostage with the help of his crew. Spider-Man shows up and takes everybody out.
