As Spider-Man floats ever upward, some airplanes pass by him and he latches onto one. When it lands, the gravity effects have worn off and he swings back into the city. When the Acts of Vengeance crew gets to Chameleon’s lair to collect their money, they find it destroyed and only a note suggesting Kingpin and him schemed together to con them. They go to collect from Kingpin and it turns out he doesn’t know anything about it. Spider-Man comes by and takes them all down. Graviton floating the Daily Bugle and setting it down destroyed it almost entirely. MJ, while babysitting little Norman Osborn, finds a closet with the Green Goblin suit and gizmos and grows concerned about Harry.

Katzenberg shows the photos of Peter to Jameson and Robertson. Peter explains that it’s the only photo he ever faked, but Robertson says his photos are no good there anymore. Chameleon gathers all the people from Acts of Vengeance who failed to kill Spider-Man and hires them to kill Spider-Man. There’s a huge fight and Spidey is mostly being beaten to a pulp, but just when he gets an edge, Graviton reduces his mass to zero and he floats up toward space.

Loki, bitter about his acts of vengeance plan failing and disbanding, turns three Sentinels into one mega Sentinel and sends it to destroy a nuclear plant (in effect destroying the whole city). Graviton wants another piece of Spider-Man, but Spidey makes short work of him. Spidey is blasted by an energy beam by Sebastian Shaw and becomes Captain Universe. Something blocked the full transformation before. The Enigma Force chose him to stop the Tri-Sentinel. He renders the Sentinel to dust with the power and the Enigma Force leaves him.

Flash shows up to Peter’s apartment with his new girlfriend…Felicia Hardy (aka The Black Cat).

A man called Graviton who controls the effects of gravity is hired by Kingpin to kill Spider-Man. He lifts the Bugle building from its foundation and has a fight inside with Spider-Man while it floats. He defeats Spider-Man and leaves, thinking he’s dead. Spider-Man is just barely alive and goes back home to find that MJ has gotten a part on a soap opera that she tried out for.
