The Spectacular Spider-Man #156 (1989)

“The Search for Robbie Robertson”

Rating: 3/5

Writer: Gerry Conway
Artists: Sal Buscema & Mike Esposito

Spider-Man searches the Appalachians in Pennsylvania for Joe Robertson. Of course he comes across a small town of hicks with two mutants named Banjo and Bugeyes who try to kill him. After a while, they realize Spider-Man isn’t a threat and let him go look for his friend. Joe Robertson washes up on a bank of the Susquehanna River and an Amish man finds him. Tombstone is there also and asks the man to help his friend. Kristy continues to deny she has an eating disorder. The Black Cat spies on Mary Jane and her friends. She seems enamored by Flash Thompson.
