The Amazing Spider-Man #237 (1983)

“High & Mighty!” Rating: 2/5 Writer: Roger Stern Artist: Bob Hall A villain called Stilt Man wants to revitalize his reputation by defeating Spider-Man. He goes to Stark international to retrieve his stilt suit, but Spider-Man saves his life by taking a blast from some defense gun while inside and Stilt Man decides to not kill him.

“Hell Hath No Fury Like a Robot Scorned!” Rating: 2/5 Writer: Bill Mantlo Artist: Luke McDonnell Apparently, when Professor Stromm died, his coffin went into an underground laboratory where his brain was uploaded to a robot version of himself he’d made earlier. Spider-Man destroys some robots and then Stromm’s robot self. Deb Whitman suspects Peter to be Spider-Man.

Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #049 (1980)

“Enter: The Smuggler!” Rating: 2/5 Writer: Roger Stern Artist: Jim Mooney Spider-Man finds a new villain in town called The Smuggler and busts up his operation. The issue ends with Smuggler being webbed up and Spider-Man holding him over his head wondering what to do with him. Short story about White Tiger. First a recap of his life, then we find out his family has been murdered. Continues next issue.
