Making sense of this Spider-Man world.

Making sense of this Spider-Man world.

I’ve embarked on a journey of difficult proportions. I decided to try catching up on Spider-Man. I’ve never actually read any of the comics before, so I started at the beginning (Amazing Fantasy #15, where Spider-Man was first introduced) and I will continue chronologically through each series. There are over 1600 issues spread across all the series of Spider-Man. My plan is to read all of them before the new movie is released on July 3, 2012.

This means I will have to read at least an average 3 issues every day. It’s a lot. It will be difficult. But I think I’ll be able to do it.

UPDATE (June 9, 2012): So I have failed in my goal to catch up on Spider-Man before the new movie comes out. I hit a speed bump when my computer started acting up and it’s been difficult to get back on the horse. And with only one month left before the movie comes out, I can say there is almost no way I can catch up at this point. I would have to read an average of over 40 comics per day to catch up. I’m sorry that I have failed you all. I will still try to get back on the horse and read the comics and make the videos until I’m caught up. And after I’m caught up maybe I’ll review new issues individually when they come out or something. We’ll see what the future holds in store.

Thanks (again),

Eric Toribio
