The Spectacular Spider-Man #192 (1992)

“Eye of the Puma Part Two: The Summit”

Rating: 3/5

Writer: J.M. DeMatteis
Artist: Sal Buscema

Black Crow asks Thomas Fireheart whether he is the master of the Puma persona, or whether he is a slave to it. Fireheart says he never asked for the power and was just given it by his ancestors and then forced to protect them. He chooses to use it to be a hired assassin. So in effect, he is letting the Puma control him. Black Crow shows Spider-Man that all the deaths and struggles in his life are part of the big web of life. The bad things are just playing their part. They are then back in the city. Puma in a rage leaps into the city and Spider-Man follows after because Black Crow says there’s an innocent life at stake.
