The Amazing Spider-Man #361 (1992)

“Carnage Part One: Savage Genesis!”

Rating: 5/5

Writer: David Michelinie
Artist: Mark Bagley

Carnage has been going around town committing brutal murders and leaving his name written in blood. From early reports, Peter thinks it’s Venom, but after research, discovers that it is probably Eddie’s serial killer cell mate Cletus Kasady. Spider-Man goes to the ruins of the orphanage where Cletus grew up and finds him there. They fight, and Carnage has some new tricks that Venom never had. He can throw pieces of himself in the form of solid objects. After some cops show up, Spider-Man protects them and Carnage manages to escape. Peter decides the only way to stop Carnage is to get the help of Venom.
