“The Love of Power”

Rating: 4/5

Writer: Kurt Busiek
Artist: Sal Buscema

Joy Mercado and Peter are doing a story on Dr. Cedric Forrester, who has a giant science lab. They run into some super powered woman name Corona who has a glowing aura around her that melts anything that touches it. And she can shoot energy out as well. Turns out she’s Dr. Forrester’s sister. She got that way because of an experiment Dr. Forrester did on her. There’s a fever that’s been going around New York that MJ catches. The experiment somehow messed with the water supply. Dr. Forrester created an antidote, but Corona wants it to complete her transformation. While fighting Spider-Man, she accidentally destroys the antidote and transforms into some hideous goblin-esque creature.
