The Amazing Spider-Man #331 (1990)

“The Death Standard”

Rating: 5/5

Writer: David Michelinie
Artist: Erik Larsen

Punisher and Spider-Man track the immense drug supply to a U.S. military academy. They find a man who tells them the government was preparing just in case of an economic collapse when the gold standard would mean nothing. Drugs are still worth the same. Punisher and Spider-Man evacuate the building and blow it up.

Doctors are doing an autopsy of Eddie Brock when he changes into Venom again. He faked his suicide and the symbiote simulated an extra layer of skin without a pulse to make him look dead. Obviously, Venom kills the doctors and escapes, vowing revenge against Spider-Man.

Jonathan Caesar is released from jail on probation.
