Max Markham, who used to be The Grizzly before he went to jail, is getting made fun of for telling a story of how he almost beat Spider-Man. He gets his suit fixed and wants a rematch to prove himself. Peter hears Joe Robertson is still alive and in Pennsylvania and plans to give himself up to authorities, so Peter gets on a train to Philadelphia with Joy, Joe’s lawyer, and Joe’s family. Grizzly hops the train as well, to get Peter to set up the rematch. After some trouble, Peter changes to Spider-Man and fights Grizzly. He realizes that the only way to win this fight is to lose the fight on purpose to lift Grizzly’s bruised ego. It’s later revealed that Grizzly knows Spider-Man threw the fight, but doesn’t care anymore. MJ’s aunt and uncle turn out to be jerks, and the uncle disowns Kristy and hands responsibility of her to MJ. Puma bought the Daily Bugle to end Jameson’s smear campaign against Spidey. Joe Robertson goes back to jail after seeing his family and Peter.
