Chameleon plans to take down the United States of America. The CEO whose identity he stole is alive, but held captive. Peter goes to Chicago for a book signing. He attends a science convention and finds Chameleon impersonating a government scientist. He saves the tied up scientist, but Chameleon manages to get away. The sleazy owner of the building where Mary Jane and Peter now live is in their apartment with some tough goons when Mary Jane gets home and he says he wants her.
