Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man Annual #7 (1987)

“The Honeymoon”

Rating: 4/5

Writer: Jim Owsley
Artist: Alan Kupperberg

A friend of MJ’s gives her and Peter plane tickets to France, and use of his French villa for a wedding present. On their honeymoon in France, they run into different friends of MJ’s who make Peter feel like garbage. Puma’s uncle wants Puma to thank Spider-Man in some way for helping out with the whole Beyonder situation. Puma begrudgingly agrees to do it, though he doesn’t much care for Spider-Man. He finds Peter in France and offers him a job as a scientist at his company, as well as cooperative missions as Spider-Man. He tells him his first mission in France is to recover some valuable stolen golden eggs. Peter begrudgingly accepts, though he doesn’t trust Puma, and then finds out during the mission that Puma staged the whole mission and it was just a test. He tells him off during their post mission meeting and then Puma apologizes and they end on neutral terms.
