Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #128 (1987)

“Spider Hunt”

Rating: 4/5

Writer: Peter David
Artist: Alan Kupperberg

J. Jonah Jameson hires Silver Sable to hunt Spider-Man and bring him to justice for the murder of Blaze. Keating actually killed Blaze and then publicly blamed Spider-Man. Betty Leeds is going looney after the loss of her husband. Spider-Man trusts Black Cat as she curses Foreigner for double crossing her. One of Sable’s goons who’s trying to take down Spidey is the SHIELD agent who shot that kid a while back. He says he was fired from SHIELD and Spider-Man takes off the guy’s uniform and webs him up so it’ll hurt worse than a bandaid when they rip it off. He returns home and overhears Black Cat talking to Foreigner over the phone saying that Spider-Man naively trusts her and that Keating says the frame is solid.
