Beyonder tells Puma and Spider-Man what his intentions are on Earth. When he discovered Earth, he also found out about desire. This made him feel incomplete and he came to Earth to find a way to be complete again. He helped people find their role in life. Puma’s role in life is to kill the Beyonder, so Beyonder decides he must die at the hands of Puma to become complete. When Puma confronts him in a nightclub, Beyonder gives him the power to kill him. When Puma goes to strike, he doubts himself and his role and becomes normal again, causing only a minor wound. Beyonder then says they’ve both failed and teleports elsewhere.
