Turns out that just before Sin-Eater shot, Betty ducked under the desk where she was sitting. As Sin-Eater squabbles with her, Spider-Man comes in the window and beats the crap out of him. Daredevil then comes in and fights Spider-Man to stop him from killing Sin-Eater. Sin-Eater (or Stan Carter) goes to jail. Daredevil reveals to Spider-Man that he knows he’s also Peter Parker. And then reveals that he’s Matt Murdock. He tries to convince Peter that the system works and he should trust in the courts.
