Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #107 (1985)

“The Death of Jean DeWolff, Part One: Original Sin”

Rating: 5/5

Writer: Peter David
Artist: Rich Buckler

Jean DeWolff is murdered in her apartment. Shot in the chest at close range with a shotgun. Spider-Man beats the crap out of some thugs who beat and rob an old man who lives in Aunt May’s boarding house. Matt Murdock (aka Daredevil) represents them during their arraignment. Afterwards, he walks into a room and senses a man with a shotgun. The man calls himself the Sin-Eater. He dodges a blast and then the judge comes in. Sin-Eater shoots him and Matt doesn’t take out the guy for fear of jeopardizing his identity.
