Writer: David Michelinie

Thirty years ago a small meteor split in two and crashed into Earth. A man accidentally touches one of the pieces and gains incredible strength.

Joe Robertson is tired of Spider-Man pics so he sends Peter to Smithville, Pennsylvania to get pictures of the Smithville Thunderbolt. A superhero in the small town. Peter goes there and immediately there’s a fire and he goes to investigate as Spider-Man, but Thunderbolt saves the day. Spider-Man traces him back to his house and finds out who the Thunderbolt really is. He says his power’s been fading recently and made a special suit that slightly enhanced his strength and he forged disasters that he could deal with. Then some guy crashes through the wall claiming he’s the Smithville Thunderbolt. Peter also meets a reporter with high ambitions and she takes photos of the unmasked Thunderbolt. Peter begs her not to print the photos.
