The whole issue is a collection of daydreams by the main characters, observed by The Watcher. Black Cat dreams that she and Spider-Man complete a government espionage ploy and when he removes his mask, he’s Cary Grant. Jameson dreams that he beats up Spider-Man and gets him to confess he’s no hero. Mary Jane dreams that her life story is a play on Broadway and she plays the lead part. Spider-Man dreams that he save Jameson and gets a picture of Jameson kissing his feet and wins a pulitzer prize for the picture. Then receives an honorary doctorate for creating a formula that cures everything. Then he gets chosen to be in the Avengers and Fantastic Four, but is cast aside when they discover he’s just some kid. Then Spider-Man (in real life) saves some kid from bullies.
