The Amazing Spider-Man #226 (1982)

“But the Cat Came Back…”

Rating: 5/5

Writer: Roger Stern
Artist: John Romita Jr.

The Black Cat escapes from the mental hospital and apparently wasn’t crazy at all, but just acted that way to have an easy escape. She meets up with Spider-Man and says she’ll abandon her life of crime for him and invites him to a costume party that’s really an underworld meeting. Spidey and the Black Cat wreck all the criminal scum in the place. They watch the police handle the webbed up baddies from the rooftop and then kiss.
