Carrion tells how he came to be. Before Warren left for his final confrontation with Spider-Man, he started a clone of himself in the clone casket. When the clone was finished, he was unable to get out of the casket. The process continued until the clone reached old age and died, but the fluid kept it alive. Then a student opened the casket and the horrifying being inside the casket emerged, he discovered that his horrific nature repelled everything and he could use his power to teleport, become intangible and even read thoughts.
