The guy the Tarantula kidnapped in the first issue turns out to be behind the whole thing. He is (or was) a professor at the college. Studied light. Made some gizmo that allowed him to control solid light. Called himself Lightmaster. Spider-Man fights and defeats him. Flash runs into some girl he knew from Vietnam.
